MIRELA BARNA
DMD lasi 2003
Dentist, GDC No. 127744
Mirela graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, lasi, Romania in 2002.
This was her second degree as she had previously qualified as a General Medical Practitioner from the same university, making her doubly qualified.
Having enjoyed both clinical disciplines, Mirela finally made the choice to focus soley on dentistry as she found the high level of practicality and the direct interaction with patients very rewarding. She takes pride in approaching her patient care from a holistic point of view, always having in mind the connection between dental problems and the rest of our body.
Following qualification and before moving to the UK in 2008, Mirela worked in her own family’s private dental practice in lasi. Mirela has been working as an associate General Dental Practitioner in Canterbury for 15 years and joined Alpha House in 2022.
Mirela enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially restorative dentistry, with a special interest in minimally invasive techniques. Her approach is to be a patient, approachable dentist who’s aim is to make her patients feel relaxed, understood and respected during their visit.
In her free time, Mirela enjoys painting, walking, listening to classical music and spending as much time as possible with her family.
Before I came here I hadn't been to a dentist for nearly 30 years. It was only when my gums became sore and I kept having dreams that my teeth were about to fall out, that I finally decided I really needed to do something.
Mr Hussain completed a thorough examination, in which he took the time to really listen to me, without being at all judgemental. The treatment and recommendations that he made have completely changed how I feel about my teeth, and I am truly grateful to him and his team. If anyone is looking for a new dentist, where you are really treated as an individual, and will receive excellent care and treatment, I would certainly recommend this surgery.
